I have just had confirmation at 8:30am from Orcon that they are having ADSL PPP authentication issues.
I am not sure how wide spread this is (we are on an Orcon network naked DSL in Devonport, Auckland).
Just though I would post this to save anyone else having similar issues spending half an hour on the phone going through all the user end diagnosis before discovering the fault is at the Orcon end.
As of posting nothing has been posted on the Orcon Status page indicating how local or wide spread the problem is.

Yes we are currently having an auth issue.
I am investigating what is going on right now.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

This should be resolved now.
There will be a backlog we are processing, this may also mean some usage reporting is delayed.

Once we are processing usage as it is generated i will update here.
