Just reading this from Android Authority and I was surprised to see NZ being mentioned!

And in related news, 2* loses their license to sell the Samsung Galaxy SIV - Actually, Samsung ain't Apple so this might never happen.

That was a sarcastic comment, made in jest.

wonder if that'll make apple quiver and release the much needed 5S to help them make more than the miserly 40 million quid that was so disappointing

edit: was it billion

My guess: Mobile Broadband plans available nationwide with no extra charges for roaming on Vodafone (now that 2d has extended the network to cover most major towns).

Something about new plans, but nothing about the phone.

Actually, scratch that. There isn't anything new on the press release.

Well they are on the website, so ok to talk about I suppose.

http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/paymonthly/plans

Look pretty good for the most part, they have removed the bonus mins and data and increased the standard minutes and gb in the plans so it scales up better the more you pay. Lower plans therefore look similar to what they did before accounting for the bonus mins and data, but higher plans have more minutes and data. Makes it simpler to understand how carryover minutes work too without having to work out your bonus minute usage first etc.

Suspect the bit where it says voicemail is $12 per minute is a typo, may want to look into that.

Overage rates have also gone up. 69cpm on the $29 plan, and 49cpm on the others. Used to be 44c.
Also, I thought I remembered international texting was 9c on 2degrees, but the new plans show it to be 20c, but my memory could be wrong.

Thanks for the tip about the new plans, I'd just changed to the old $39 plan (which the online system actually calls "old"), so I switched to the new $39 plan.
