Just curious on how much free night/unlimited data people are using since it was introduced as a feature of the new plans.

I am using on average 500GB a month.

Big thanks to Snap for all the extra data!

Does this apply to UFB connections too or just ADSL?

Oooh. Can't find any info on the website but sounds good. Getting UFB'd with Snap at the end of the month.

I used heaps while I seeded to Crashplan but now I'm probably using anywhere from 10-50GB a month. My usage is very random. Some months I'll use 30GB then others 2-300GB so having the option to extend my cap by moving downloads to the unmetered nights is great. Normal months I just use my connection normally.

It's actually like having a flat rate plan with none of the disadvantages.

Correct. As long as you have an addon data pack you get unlimited nights.
As usual, unlimited nights bandwidth is not shaped or limited in any way, always full speed :)

Can anyone tell me why the unlimited nights only applies to customers who buy a data pack?  Shouldn't this apply to all Snap customers?  The data packs start at 100gb, there should be smaller data packs available...

For the same reason McDonalds  doesn't upsize meals for all their customers free.  ;-)

Seriously though, from what I can see, Snap already has some of the most competitive rates (especially for data add ons - just look at the add-on\double data\overage rates with the big providers) in the country.  $15 is brilliant value for far less than 100GB - if you don't need it all just don't use it.
