AVM are showing off their latest box at CeBIT in Hanover March 05 - 09
I wonder if Snap will offer them as an option?

802.11ac is great, but the 5Ghz band is starting to fill up already so there are no guarantees of performance, especially when the faster speeds rely on 80Mhz channels. Getting any more than a couple of hundred Mbps can be a challenge.

I see 802.11ad as the most exciting standard, 60Ghz doesn't propagate well at all so it'll deliver fantastic short distance in room performance.

Yeah, I wouldn't get too excited, in real world usage the throughput is nowhere near 1300mbit, try dropping off the '1' at the beginning :D

if the wifi is anything like the 7340 wifi, then yeah its going suck. wifi is terrible on my fritzbox, really poor range.

but best adsl router ive used, best internet connection uptime + reconnection time. just crap wifi.

I have to agree, I've got the 7390 and it's a shame that the antenna aren't upgradeable

Agreed. Amazing router but needs a separate WAP.

I agree aswell, although the ADSL Router is amazing, the WLAN part is a bit lacking, Range and throughput drops off quickly.

I use a seperate Access Point .. UAP-Pro ( http://ubnt.com ) << Amazing performance and range

wlan and dect on the fritzs are poor. Im not even bothering with the dect as it wobt even cover the house. 5ghz wifi on it is also worse than other APs.
