Got a text from slingshot at 5pm today:

"Slingshot here. Just a reminder: we're upgrading you tomorrow  so your services will be intermittent for approx 3hrs. We'll text you when it's all done."

I'm not quite sure what this could mean, perhaps they are installing equipment at the exchange(HCK exchange, Auckland)? I'm on a cabinet so it may not matter anyway.

Anyone else get a text?

They will be automatically upgrading you to their better network equipment in the exchange. Enjoy the new Easy phone landline features.

Hahahaha... I will wait for the 'my connection has halved it's speed' thread then.

If they move you to LLU gear tell them to stop because it won't be in the cabinet. It could just be they are moving your landline services to the exchange but will continue to use the ISAM port in the cabinet for broadband.

It will be SLUBA. His broadband will be connected to the cabinet where it is close and the phone to the exchange.
