Ok about a month a go I spoke about changing over to naked from standard with slingshot as i was aprehensive as to speed. So i thought I would give an update

I have removed the 5m ext cord from the wall socket to the router before about 2500 after 7500
I think i will move it back once oi have a cat6 lead to go between and see wht the drop off is then
At night yes if you are doing P2P sometimes that will come to a grinding halt or almost but the rest is fine and during the day and after midnight it speeds up again.
I bought a s/h linksys router pap2 or something that connects my ordinary phone to the world through italk
CAMERON at slingshot is the god of these matters so see if you can get him we had it running in 5 mins
so far no lost calls etc but I am not a heavy phone user

so all in all $90 bucks unlimited BB and a phone line seems good

(now to touch wood for the next 10  minutes in case ive risked fate)

Most of the problems with speed are likely to be related to internal wiring issued.

intentionally slowing you down today (unless you are on a managed plan). Also if this is the school holidays it's



likely you will notice slower than usual speed due to more users online.



A master splitter is required for VDSL2 and in most cases will improve speeds on DSL connections. Regular



disconnections can be a monitored alarm or a set top box trying to connect. If there's an alarm connected to your



line even if you don't have an alarm contract it may sill try to connect so it's worth checking.
