I was wanting to know if there is a way for my GF's prepaid account to automatically debit $19 a month to cover the prepaid plan I want to put her on.

She is hopeless at topping up her phone so if I can get my credit card debited automatically for $19 (or $20) per month just before her renewal it would work quite well for me, also it would mean she couldn't go too far over her $19 per month.

If this was available it might be a convincing factor to change me fro Vodafone for my Ipad as well.

JohnR if you are lurking if Vodafone has this option I could be swung the otherway also and change her to Vodafone from 2D ;)

2D also has this option. I have one of mine setup this way when the balance get to $2 but you can most likely set any amount. . I think the min amount is $20 for topup..

I had nothing but problems with trying to do this with my grandma. Shes not up to txting so doing a credit card auto-payment and auto 'plan' rollover, but every month something went wrong, many hours of phone calls and we just called it quits on 2 degrees.

What normally happened is she would end up on casual rate for however long (hours?) and use up enough credit so that she didnt have enough for the 'plan' to roll over. Then all the credit got used up really fast. Tried to get it resolved, but they're useless. She ended up spending hundreds & hundreds of dollars more than it was supposed to cost, and 2d just dont care.

Hi, I would advise setting a $20 Monthly Auto-Top-Up the day before the $19 Combo expires (she'll see the expiry date in Your 2degrees, that way it should have enough credit for the Combo to renew each month. She'll have an extra $1 to call Voicemail, text Oz or wherever. :)

Here's the info on MATU - http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/prepay/topping-up/auto-top-up.

Cheers

unless between the time the Auto Topup goes through and renewal occurs casual rates are used on calls/data (uses all of pack allocation and goes to casual rates, prior to renewal)
