Has anyone ever had a dedicated line put in from slingshot where the chorus tech comes out and does it.? If someone has
had it done can you tell me what they done, as I am having it done myself and was wondering if they go from entry point on house directly to where you want the connection put inside or do they daisy chain it off an already existing cable in house?

I gather you are having a second POTS line connected up? or is this for a xDSL service ?

The current practice in either case is to run new cabling (Cat5e), if practical, from the Demarc (ETP) to the jackpoint location (Star Wireing) 'Most desireable'

but if ths is not practical and depending on the number of circuits available in your existing house wireing then they may be able to utilise a spare pair to an existing jkpt and run a new cable from there to where you need it. '

Last resort is to 'tap into' the existing cableing and tee off to the required location. 'Least Desirable'
