Hi all,

On the Orcon Genius plan, living in Chch. Had a browse of the forums and haven't seen anyone with my exact problem. Basically my latency has doubled when playing Lol (League of Legends) from 180-200ms normally to 300-400ms. It has been like this consistently for the last 4-5 days. Anyone else having similar issues?

Running a trace route to riot.ca shows the issue is at hop6 onwards (international?)

300 to 400ms is not that bad

I have the same problem with Orcon unlimited too, also in Christchurch..

Normal ping to North America server is 190ms everyday, atm since lunch time it is at 350 to 400ms.

The server is "216.52.241.254". There game server is fine.

Is there a way to address this issue?

Ask someone on Orcon but not on Orcon unlimited what they are getting

Yes that's a good idea. Can someone please PM me some results. Open cmd and type
"ping 216.52.241.254 -t ".

Not at home so can't ping right now, but i usually get latency around 200 +/- 10 ms. On Orcon 60GB plan.

That doesn't look right. There should be practically no delay between those two.

We really only de-prioritise P2P on the Unlimited plans. Normal traffic should have the same performance as capped plans.

Yep, still waiting on someone in Christchurch on Orcon regular plan to post some results. Then i will submit a ticket with some comprehensive evidence.

This is my traceroute, used "riot.ca" displays the same ping results as "216.52.241.254"
Seems the problem is also between Hop 5 and 6?

Im on the Genius 30GB not unlimited, pinging 216.52.241.254 I get 300+ms

Yeap should at least be 190 to 200. Looks like the issue is in Christchurch on all plans?
