Hi there, I am not sure if this is a Slingshot problem or some other problem (sorry if this is on a wrong forum), but I've received many 'Returned mail' errors this evening after trying to send emails to people in my contacts.

The first one: (reason: 554 mxin1-orange.clear.net.nz) Messages from XXX.XXX.XX.XXX temporarily deferred... ... while talking to mta5.am0.yahoodns.net.... http://postmaster.yahoo.com/errors/421-ts02.html  and the rest of them look the same, just some IP numbers are different in each of them.

Anyone else getting the same? Has my email address been blacklisted or something? I have no clue what to do :(

Thanks for all the help in advance

Returned mail came from clear.net.nz, xtra.co.nz, yahoo.co.nz and another one from gmail.com and another company email address stating I had an illegal attachment. I checked gmail guidelines and zip file is ok if it doesn't contain other zip files. Baffled!

Maybe zipped .exe files are blocked (don't know what file type is you are sending), What size is the file unzipped?

Only one of them had the zipped file (gmail) and I checked the guidelines. my file was only 2.1MB so it should not be a problem. Unzipped, the folder was 5MB and tried to send it unzipped, but it bounced back too. I'm more worried about the errors from the text only emails though, doesn't make any sense. Hmmm

I should mention that there were no forbidden extensions either

Try some plain emails without attachments as a test to the same addresses-see what happens then??

Today I found out that some of my emails are not going through without generating error messages. Gosh! I've just finished a call with Slingshot, they logged a fault report for it all for the 'Advanced Team' to investigate. What I did find out is they are in the middle of changing email servers and there could well be problems interacting with some ISPs.

To be continued...

I've just tested emailing the people I got an error message back from, and so far so good. Yay!

Another problem has now surfaced though: a few friends of mine are not getting through to me, Slingshot thinks their emails are spam. One is from Vodafone network, one from Gmail (Outlook). When one of them tried emailing from an email hosted by his own server, that did come through. I wonder if all this is inter-related? Whatever it is, it is very annoying.

Thanks for listening.

Yesterday I was trying to email a friend on slingshot from a work email and the emails were bouncing back as spam. Just tried again now and email are still being detected as spam and bouncing back.
