Hi there.
I recently came across this previous locked thread http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=82&topicid=105672 about several people with the Genius that would reboot every 28 hours.

I have the "GeniusLite1400" firmware and I get this issue too. In the other thread it was said that the newer firmware can fix the issue BUT that firmware has issues with fibre (that haven't been fixed a year later????).

Just wondering if there's a workaround floating about besides buying a new router 'cause this is beyond mere annoyance for me, I work from home and it can sometimes cost me a lot to lose connection for a couple of minutes.

Cheers.

Well I don't have a Lite Genius but my Genius is on Genius1423 firmware. We are on fibre and don't have any problems.

Our first Genius was a dud and we had a continuous decrease in speed until we had to force a reboot - an automatic reboot every 28 hours would've be nice!

Also from memory the previous firmware on our Genius had other issues so I'd say ask them to upgrade you to 1423 ASAP.

You are somehow on old firmware. We don't retro-fit old threads for current information, 1423 is stable on both DSL and UFB fibre.

PM me your account number or un and I'll get you upgraded.
