Hi

can Chorus tweak at the exchange the "Attainable throughput", as I have had chorus out twice to fix connection that has hung, and after each time.. the Attainable throughput has reduced?

I was initially getting 30mb, then 25mb, now 18mb?

Anybody in the know?

What is your attenuation and how far do you think you are from an ISAM based upon the Chorus VDSL2 coverage maps?

Modems do that, they re-train to the line conditions if they drop below a threshold, so that behavior is to be expected.

since your posting under snap, any chance your using a fritzbox? if so screenshot your graphs.

would also help to know your latency and your INP values, from that we can work out your current DLM profile.

error rates would help too. (only referring to CRC errors)

do you have a master filter installed? or a single cat 5/6 connection from the ETP?

what counts as minimal?

it would seem your on DLM-1 so thats a good sign if the error rate is down. dont be afraid to screenshot more of the page, you missed a few key points of data that saves having to ask a few of these questions.

Assuming your wiring is up to spec it's highly likely to be a case of being beyond VDSL2 coverage. If so there isn't anything to can do - you're lucky you were actually installed!

The bitloading graph from the modem would show a lot more.

What does your location show on the Chorus VDSL2 coverage maps? Are you in a 20Mbps zone?

You also need to tell is whether Chorus say you're within a VDSL2 coverage area, without you answering this nobody really knows if we're dealing with an actual issue or not.

Yes, Master Filter, already had a VDSL one, and Chorus were going to install one for free.. but I had one already

Yes Chorus Maps say I am in Area and in a >20 zone
