Evening all,

Anyone know if snap still route all traffic to christchurch? or whether they now have a pop in auckland?
Looking to change vdsl provider and have some colo servers in auckland, but I would hate to be routed from auckland to christchurch then back to auckland to manage my servers. I used to be with snap 4-5 years ago and Im pretty sure traffic was routed this way.

Thanks.

I'm in Auckland on Snap and for the most part no.
There are some strange peering routes that go through CHCH, but mostly traffic destined for Auckland seems to stay within Auckland.
I've not found any international routes going via CHCH, they all seem to go directly.

On a related note: youtube uploads seem to go to Europe for me rather than the US or Australia, which impacts speeds a bit.
