Wife's Windows Phone 7.8 on 2degrees can receive MMS from me but she can't send...

Any ideas?

From experience, this sounds like an APN issue; what are the default APN settings?  (Specifically, the "APN Type" setting).  I setup a "direct" APN on my 2Degrees (Android) phone for VPN purposes, but didn't get the "APN Type" quite right, and that broke MMS (everything else, including the VPN worked fine!).  Setting "APN Type" to "default, supl" resolved this.

(adb logs showed that the phone software was using the MMS settings OK, but that the next subsystem down the stack was getting a "null" response and couldn't find the internet without the "default, supl" setting being correct; so the MMS just got stuck in "sending")

Of course, Windows phone may be entirely different....

Can't be a APN issue if the handset is getting incoming MMS

She can't send MMS full stop or just to your number?

I'd love to help, but my Windows phone experience consists of 'I held my friend's one once'. Sorry!

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

JohnR reminded me HTC has a APN Editor in the Store. I will try that...

It's an HTC Tropy... I will try the APN app first then PM results.

Yep, download the HTC Settings app, it automatically identified 2degrees and configured the MMS APN.

All working now. Why it was only receiving, not sending is a mystery but no need to find out now...
