Been with Orcon for a number of years. For the most part happy enough. However my street has had Fibre for over 4 months and I can get on other providers like Snap. Have been waiting a few months to see if Orcon will offer, and according to their website and help desk no idea of when I could move to Fibre with them so I guess I have to change to another provider.

I assume it’s some Exchange facility they don’t have locally that Snap and others do, just wondering why they cannot offer. If somebody could enlighten me.

Cheers.

Orcon have most areas covered. First question is - where are you?

You may be in an area where Orcon don't yet have a completed agreement with your LFC.

Pretty sure we're with all the LFCs, but there may be another reason.  Can you send me a private message with your address, and your orcon username, and I'll get this looked into.

Hi OP,
Sounds like we might not have a handover in your area.
If you can let us know which city you are in, we can confirm.
Cheers! Quentin

Odd, well sent again just now. In Oamaru to answer others.

I'd expect it to be Chorus, then, in Oamaru, so would be interested to hear why it can't be done.

Hi

We currently don't have a handover in Oamaru, so unable to support UFB in that region.

its on the plans, but no ETA currently

Apologies! :(

Thanks for the feedback.

If I knew it was definitely going to happen in a few months I would wait, but if there is no known date, as much as I am happy with Orcon, I just don't see point waiting considering it has been 4 months already.

Cheers.
