I gave my Motorola Defy (Telecom XT) to my partner after rebuilding it using Cynogenmod7 (jordan).

Her phone works fine where we live (Nelson) but when she's travelled to smaller areas (St Arnaud, Turangi) it doesn't connect to any mobile network and completely stops working.

When we were in St Arnaud I installed "Defy Baseband Switcher" from the XDA forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052745

By changing the baseband we were able to get the phone to connect and work at St Arnaud - but we then had to change it again when we got back to Nelson.

Turangi/ Taupo has been even more problematic with the phone dropping and picking up networks as she travelled around the Lake Taupo area.

Ideally we'd like a setting that works across the entire 2degrees network. Is that possible?
