I'm on a 30Mbit fibre, called Orcon last week to order an increase to 100Mbit. They said: OK, will be activated within 24 hours. Guess what, it's 5 days later and I'm still on 30Mbit.

I call everyday and everyday after waiting 15-20 mins for an operator they tell me they don't know what's happening, and that they'll call me the next day with an update - and then of course no one calls.

Anyone from Orcon here who can make things happen, as this level of service is downright disgraceful.

Thanks

Ok, we have an order in, I've emailed our provisioning to get an ETA, I'm not sure what the usual turnaround time on these is as its not my area but I'll find out and get you an answer Wed am.

It's not just an Orcon issue - your profile needs to be changed by the LFC or Chorus as well.

Then they should say so when the order was made. They said it will take effect within 24 hours. Misinformation.

6 days is not bad time frame considering there's no automation setup with chours yet....
Saying that It takes about 5min max for the Chorus staff to make the change.

Who's the LFC?

I've processed a few of these changes lately and they usually go through within 24-48 hours*.

*Edit. This is with Ultrafast Fibre

End of day approaching, still no upgrade... Was there any further updates from the team?

Received a call and now the speed upgrade is finally done.

Speedtest:

Upload speed slightly lower than what it should be at 40Mbit, but hopefully it picks up in time.

Thanks FireEngine for your help in getting this sorted.
