Outages happen, its technology, but Lack of communication is NOT a way to operate a telecommunication business! This is slack Flip, you could of left a detailed message on your phoneline, so when your customers phone in at least they will know what is happening, instead you left us all in the dark with your customer technical support line dead, and no information! WHY????

You say their support line is dead, so how would they leave a message on it ?

Hi there,

We had our first ever major outage today which unfortunately affected a good chunk of our customers, the Flip website and our inbound phone system.

This meant we couldn't put any status messages up except for Facebook and Twitter.

Sorry for the inconvenience - I'm not happy about it either.

Appreciate this is not a good look and we have definitely learnt from it.

Cheers,

Scott

A dead support line is kind of a giveaway that something major is up (down?)

Sure is. Not to mention sitting at work when your website dies on you.
