Hi everyone,

WXC/Xnet is going over the top with their Fusion pricing at the moment so I am considering to switch to snap (broadband and snap plus, i.e. naked BB and VOIP line) which would save me over 30$/month.

Running a Fritzbox and plan to continue using it.

1. Snap say they only support 1 concurrent VOIP call (unless you pay an extra 10$). Can anyone confirm this? (I think WXC told me the same thing initially but I was always able to have at least 2 calls at the same time.) Snap support call waiting - that requires 2 concurrent calls, doesn't it?

2. Anyone with experience on the snap VOIP quality?

Thanks
Hans

might be wrong but it's not one concurrent call but one number, if you want a second phone number it's $10 extra, you do get call waiting and you can set up your phone in the fritzbox to do many things ie ignore numbers , ring only at certain times of the day etc and i have never a problem with the quality of the calls.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Thanks for the quick answer. Have you got several handsets connected to your Fritzbox? If yes - when you're in a call with one handset, can you dial out with the other...?

Cheers.

i only have one phone connected but i use the Fon app for my mobiles so i just use them at home and all calls through them go through the fritzbox , so i can use them all at the same time, answer a call with any phone as they all ring if you let them.

You can definitely have more than one concurrent call (I only have the hardware to test up to two though)...I just tested it - with one FrtizFon handset on a call, I can pick up the other FritzFon handset and make an outgoing call without any issues. I don't have any special plan or setup.

VOIP quality has generally been very good for me, although I'm on UFB, so YMMV.

Up to 5 similtaneous calls, unofficially - as they have stated that this capability is not advertised as a feature and could be changed at any time if the product changes.
Their official lineis if you need guaranteed multiple calls at once then request second lines or a more advanced solution.

But it works fine.
