For those of us with obscure (but newer) android devices. Any way to check if the necessary codecs are installed?

The problem with generic lists is that they're often wrong.

I have a S3, Nokia N9 and Nokia E72 that all support AMR-WB, but none have it enabled.

Guess we can take it as a good sign that the likes of S4, S3, Note 2 and Note 3 are on the list as "very near future" that a firmware upgrade will be soon ready to push out to the masses.

No S4 support :( but it is supported on Vodafone, are 2D using a different HD codec than Vodafone which is not supported on the S4?

I see, so it is capable of doing HD voice, but possibly requires a firmware update to do it.

So does this mean that HD voice will work when calling a 2degrees number from Vodafone?

No.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

That list on 2 Degrees' website is amazingly narrow, relative to the number of models that support HD voice - 2 Degrees reps can you advise why this is, and is there an intention to expand the list of supported phones above and beyond the "forthcoming" names on the list?

Or is it possible that phones apparently capable of working with HD voice will do so on 2 Degrees, just that the list is incomplete (ie it only reflects those that have been tested and proven to work)?

I've an Xperia SP which apparently supports it, but not one Sony phone is on 2 Degrees' list.

Just cause a handset supports HD voice does not mean it's enabled as mentioned above by Sbiddle
