Can someone from Snap give us an update on the BNG rollout? I've been hanging out for static IPv6 allocations for years and apparently this will be available once the rollout is complete (mentioned here: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=90&topicid=133734&page_no=1#925586)

Thanks

I've been quite keen to get a static IPv6 support with reverse DNS support (I would prefer a delegation).  I also called them directly and put in a support ticket.

On the issue of static IPv6:

"Unfortunately at this time there is no confirmed time frame for static IPv6 on residential connections I'm afraid. This is certainly being worked on, however no ETA at present"

On the subject of reverse DNS support:

"At this particular point in time I'm unable to comment on the matter you have brought up as there is no current support for any static IPv6 addressing. If we do plan on implementing this in future, rest assured we will ensure it is announced through the appropriate channels."

Hi All,

I have just asked the team looking after this for an update, We really do want to be able to provide Static IPv6 addressing, and it is very high up on the list, however the amount of work on our internal systems to make this happen is pretty substantial, I do believe some progress has been made though.

I'll update back as soon as I hear

Thanks,
TheRalph

Thanks Ralph, I've had tickets in about static ipv6 since Jan 2012 (checking back every now and then), so I'm also keen to get them.
