Snap proudly proclaim that on all their plans
All of our data packs now come with unlimited data between 1am and 7am
. Yet when I browse the internet between those times, the amount of used data keeps going up, in my "my snap" page. Is there something wrong here or are snap just rip-off merchants?

Have you purchased a datapack or are you just on the base plan?

it only works if you bought a data add on pack to your main plan and i have never had a problem with it working, ring Snap if it's not working.

This.   When you've bought a data pack there will a note across the top of your account page when logged in indicating you have free data from 1am-7am.

I have used the free 1am-7am period many times for a LOT of data and can assure you snap are definitely not rip-off merchants...

Oops :)

But even when you qualify for the free period you may find that usage in the first 15 and last 15 minutes of the free period is sometimes not free.

I can understand the last 15 minutes (ie, lag between incurring usage and loading into their counting system), but I don't get the first 15 minutes.

Anyway, I just adjust accordingly.  It is a good deal.

Thanks, I now feel really stupid :(. I can't believe I didn't pick that up. Even though I am a cash strapped student, I'll have to find the extra cash to add a data pack.

It'll show up on your graph too as uncapped data which is handy too :)

It happens, don't feel bad.  :)

While it might not be quite as good a deal as you originally thought,  when I've compared snaps pricing (base + smallest data pack) to some other ISPs unlimited plans they still compare really well - it works pretty much just as well for me as an unlimited plans would, while avoiding all the headaches and issues truly unlimited plans seem to run into sooner or later...

(If they did offer free 1-7am data on the base plan that would be insanely good value for money but would probably mean a lot of people wouldn't bother with data packs)

exactly this.

going unlimited simply doesnt compare to the quality snap has.. corners must be cut in unlimited..

if snap made the free data too cheap, it would probably put a fair more strain on their link..

How much does the cheapest data pack cost? Last time I checked the Snap website you had to enter your address to see if you qualified for UFB then go through the application process to see anything other than headline prices.

My Snap UFB connection should start working today :)

Thanks - $15 is fantastic value for 100GB of data plus unlimited nights. Unsure if I can get through the 100GB included in my plan, let alone another 100GB then more nights and weekends.
