Maybe you guys can help, cause the flip forums seem to have disappeared.

Long story short, the phone has been working without a problem. Just no internet for a near 12-13 days.
1st Technician came back to me after a few days at first, and said there was no PPP from the exchange, Ring Flip to tell them this and they need to sort something etc etc

Internet still not working, Flip sends out a 2nd Technician, apparently he changed something (Maybe port or card, they didnt tell me what) and just said its working. Didnt even get in contact with me to test. Tried to log back in, but still the same.

Modem can see DSL on Modem, UL/DL Speed is there. just no PPP.

Have already done the no filters, different modems etc etc.
Its only once the 1st technician got back to me and said he had the same problem from the exchange, i just feel its out of my hands and just getting over it. Want it sorted before my new month renews.

What else can I do, will be ringing back, just want to know what else can I really do!

If your modem gets dsl sync but not ppp, this is something that Flip should be able to fix without a visit to your house.

Are you sure that the username and password settings in the modem are correct for your flip connection?
Apparently the username is your account number with @flip.co.nz after it, and the password you choose when you sign up.

OK just an update , have just talked to the technician (I actually met him at the exchange) to do some tests (He actually helped me on his own time). (Results are the same as what the first technician told me, but flip decided to send some1 else anyway)

We cannot log in (using flip details) on his modem. (But I can log into flips website with the same password) Also the password does not bounce, it just disconnects., if I use the wrong info it bounces)

He tried to log in using his own "Test" details and everything working fine.

The only thing we came up with is try to renew my password maybe?

This issue does sound like a rare problem, so Im sure its understandable that it may have been hard to find this out.

But my internet has been down for a near/more than 3 weeks, can I get re-inburst for this time being down or something.

Hi Xplaya,

Yes I'll get someone to call you.

Yes sounds like resetting the password is the next step. Re logging into My Account - the passwords are different to stop disconnections when they are changed.

OK Issue Finally sorted..
Nothing to do with our side..

Our internet was down for atleast 21 days, (just going from my last email i could find) countless hours waiting around home to sort this issue, interrupting my work schedule, driving to a public computer just to use the internet, had to top up our cell phones with MB packs just to get internet usage!!!

And Flip gives me $25 credit and 40gb usage? for something we did not cause.

Is this a fair call?

Id prefer a free month or something rather then an extra 40gb and not even half the bill.
