Has anyone else noticed an increase in latency during peak times? From around 8pm until 10pm my ping increases by roughly 20ms.
I'm using VDSL in Auckland.

Both. Have also asked a friend who is with Snap and he confirms it happening at his place too.

It will very much depend on the destination you're pinging. You'll probably find that somewhere along the route to that destination there is a heavily loaded link or router outside of Snap.

To everything. The first hop after my router goes from 20~ms to 40~ms, along with everything after it.

Nope. I'm connected to an exchange and he is connected to a cabinet fed by a different exchange.

interesting... and this is only about 8pm~10pm? ill leave a smoke or two going tonight and see how things go, but cant say i have noticed any jitter even at that time to my AUS server.

for reference, im off NLN/J. i suspect your seeing congestion somewhere, given that your friend is also getting it, hesitant to say its both internal networks though.

I also suspect it's congestion somewhere. It has happened in the past and been mitigated but it seems to have returned again.
