Yes but now if you run out and buy a data pack say 1GB it will get used first and then if you don't get through the 500MB next month it won't disappear :-)

Yay glad this has finally come down to us :-)

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup. Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

This was the reason I moved to post paid, now I'm stuck in a contract for another year and a half, and with a whole bunch of minutes I don't want.

Looks like i'm hopping to 2degrees at the end of the month!

Is this valid for data packs purchased too?

This is only valid for the $19 Carryover Combo. The data packs (e.g. 1GB NZ Data) do not carry over.

It happens the next time you buy the $19 Carryover Combo, or, if you already have it, the next time it renews.

Great stuff 2degrees. Have been requesting Telecom forever every month to introduce auto top up's. 2Degrees it is more than likely now for me very soon. Their 3G coverage around Hamilton has improved a lot since I was last with them couple of years ago.

Do whatever you want to do man.

I don't see much point staying on the postpaid $29 plan now :)

Cool, this is good to hear. However, what I'd love is to be able to have only 10% of the minutes and 1GB data instead of 500MB. My 5s chews through it so fast..

If you make only rare voice calls you might be better off just having the $20/1GB pack and no minutes or texts, and just paying for those when you use them. I guess it depends on whether it costs you more in overage for data at 500MB than it will in overage for calls. If you only want 10% of the minutes - 9, that is - it will cost you $3.96. That only gets you 8MB at casual rates. :-/ But the 1GB pack doesn't carry over.
