So just a couple of quick questions.

My 12 month obligation has recently expired and I intend to move to VDSL with Snap in the upcoming month. I'm just unsure about some minor things..

When I had UFB installed at my mothers house, we bought a Fritzbox 7390 and when it arrived, it came with another thing ( I believe a modem ) as well as the fritzbox. I'm wondering, if I also get a fritzbox (but the 7360) will I also get the modem, or will I have to buy that separately? I did ask my mother if she paid extra for it, but she doesn't remember...

Secondly, on the signup page, it says Standard phone line - I just wanted to confirm that this means we can at least call within our city for free right? Cause I also see an unlimited national calling add on, which I'm not sure if I need or not. I don't make calls outside of Chch generally.

And lastly, we hope to sign up for a 12 or possibly 24 month contract. However we are considering moving houses. If I were to move, could I take my plan to the new house? I have looked it up on the Snap site, but I only found answers in regards to moving to a new place without break UFB contract agreements.

Thanks in advance for any answers~

Hi redeye52

At your mothers place, I think you might be referring to the ONT, which is a device that the fibre provider (Chorus, Enable etc) install inside the house, and we then connect our FritzBox to that. For VDSL you will only need the 1 device (FritzBox) which can also be used for UFB later, if necessary.

The Standard phone line means delivered over a copper telephone line, as opposed to our Snap Plus voice service which is delivered over the broadband connection. The Snap Plus service does deliver additional value at the same price (voicemail, caller ID, call waiting). Both options include free local calling, and you can add the Unlimited National Landline calling option to either plan as well.

With regards to contract terms, these are tied to the person and not the property, so if you move house during the term then this is no issue at all, as long as you take a Snap service at your new place.

Hope this is all clear, please feel free to DM me your contact details as I'd be happy to get one of the team to give you a call to discuss further.

Cheers
Ralph
