Does the Skinny SIM still works? If not then sounds stolen. It prob only worked because the carriers had not disabled the phone from working on their network when you tested it as I am guessing it takes few days to get the block put through after verifying police report etc.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Did you buy it from Skinny? They lock handsets. You'll need to get them to unlock it.

I did buy it from skinny. And I'm not sure if it works anymore with skinny still kinda says no service.
Is the phone blacklisted ? Or locked?

As far as I know Skinny don't lock iPhones at all (as they can't). The iPhones from Vodafone,Telecom,2Degrees,Skinny,from Apple Direct are all 100% the same in NZ.

I would try the SIM Card in another phone and also try a Vodafone/Telecom Sim iif possible in your iPhone. (It might be a dead 2Degrees Card)

There is the issue about after updating Refurbished iPhones recently about them locking themselves as the Phones ID's where not in Apple's systems correctly but I think that is quite rare but I've heard about it a number of times (so it can't be that rare)

Correct Skinny won't be locking the iPhone.  If you PM me the IMEI I can get it's status on TNZ/Skinny.

Has the company you purchased the iPhone from contacted Apple??.
have you tried a different Sim card?

Being Blacklsiuted on the Vodafone/Telecom/2Degree network is not the problem.

So is there a problem or not? Based on those two recent posts it would seem you're in a 2degrees coverage deadspot.

Where exactly are you?

Have you/are you able to pop the SIM in another device to see if it gets a signal?

Please PM me your 022 #, SIM # (printed on the SIM), IMEI, iPhone model and your exact location if it's still an issue.

Here's some trouble shooting tips - iPhone settings

Cheers

I know I have 2degrees coverage since my cheap phone is working fine with it.
So must be a hardware problem...
