Hi All, just got this email from 2D and thought I would share.

Here's some news that will make you smile – 2degrees Pay Monthly will soon introduce Worry-Free Data. This means you can use data on your mobile without the fear of blowing your budget with unexpected surprises at the end of the month.

Worry-Free Data is coming in April

Worry-Free Data will help you stay in control of your data costs, so you won't have to worry about going over you monthly data allowance again. When you run out of data you'll simply choose how much more you want to spend on data by adding a Data Pack. We'll let you know when your balance is getting low or when you're trying to connect without having any data. You can then choose which value pack to add.

What does this mean?

This change means we will remove the casual rate of 50c per MB. Instead, when you need more data, you'll need to add a Data Pack. Data Packs will start at $5 for 100MB. We'll text you to confirm the date that Worry-Free Data will start and publish it on our website.

Does Data Angel still exist? I can only see "Data Angel Overseas" and "Flexi Data" on the VF website.

Well the service still exists but yeah it's called Flexi Data now.

We do, this an extra measure to ensure customers don't get hit with casual rated data charges they don't want. :)

Can it be set to just auto buy another addon when needed so it really is worry free?

They are basically getting rid of horrendously priced casual data that all of the NZ telcos are charging.  Big ups to 2degrees, once again leading the way** in NZ, this is the reasons I stay with them year in year out!

** Just read about Vfones similar option, have to take back that praise, nonetheless am a happy customer
