Until maybe a month or so ago I had a reliable IPv6 connection with Snap ADSL. I'd get a dynamic /48 prefix and my LAN devices would all have global unicast addresses and everything was sweet.

Then one day I was no longer getting a global unicast prefix from the Fritz Box, and instead now get a private prefix, fd00::/64, which obviously isn't globally routable. In my Fritzbox logs I have multiple PPP timeout errors and the Status icon for IPv6 is grey/not connected in the web interface

I rang Snap support recently to enquire about this and I was told IPv6 isn't supported, so basically, tough luck.

Has anyone else noticed this or is this issue just with me? I've reset the modem several times since this issue arose.

Any assistance getting this sorted from anyone who's had the same thing and fixed it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm on VDSL with Snap via a fritzbox and have a 2406:/48 IPv6 address... This is not a unique local or local ipv6 and has been issued by Snap. So certainly IPv6 is up and running.

When I was on snap I had this issue occasionally, but it generally worked after a reconnection. It was then fine until I next restarted the fritzbox or reconnected.

I wonder if IPv6 is related to VDSL only currently as there is no way that you shouldn't have an address on ADSL unless their simply not provisioning it on those plans.
