I switched to VDSL today but I'm experiencing slow connection: 18Mbps DL / 7Mbps UL.
I have a Draytek Vigor 130 and I'm plugged directly to it.

I've read this post http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?topicid=105744 but I confess I didn't understand much. I live in an apartment so I don't know the distance to the cabinet or any details on the wiring. The plug in my apartment is a RJ45 and I'm using two adapters (one RJ45 to the british telephone jack and another from the british jack to RJ11), so this is the only source of attenuation I have access to.
Basically I want to know 2 things:
1 - Which are the variables I should verify to detect the source of my problem and what values I should expect them to be? Is it the SRN? Mine is 12, what it should be?
2 - Are there any settings in the router/modem that I could change to make a difference or is this purely a physical connection problem?
Thank you!
