So I don't know if it's 2D or just a random anomaly but receiving international texts is a bit hit and miss for me. I've just recently been travelling around central europe and if anyone has been there and used wifi hotspots, a lot of them require validation via text. Out of about the 3-4 hotspots I tried over there I didn't receive a single text. Now I know texting was working as I was still receiving trains updates from back home.

Also just last night I set up 2FA on a lot of the services I use. I seem to be able to receive texts fine from Google and Github but Facebook was a no show. I've used my work phone (Telecom) instead and all texts are received fine via that.

Not really sure what's going on, but has anyone else had any troubles like this?

As long as you're able to roam in a particular country, you should be able to receive texts there. If you can PM me your MSISDN and the countries you believe you missed messages in, we'll have a look. In some cases - especially in the situation you describe - the messages are not handled by our network at all other than for us to tell the sender where you are, and they deliver the messages directly. In that case there's little we can do since we are not in control. But if it's a case of missing messages that were handled by our network then we can certainly investigate that.
