Hi,

I'm on Orcon@Home Unlimited, and I was wondering how I could get a LQD report on my line? Would I have to call Orcon and ask for one? If someone that works at Orcon or anyone could advise how that would be great.

You can't do one, you should be able to request one though although I am unsure on the policy around that, I wouldn't see there being any harm though. We run those for our business customers all the time, at their request. Then release the details to them or give them our technical diagnostics if they are unable to read it.

So they are produced manually and we aren't going to open a floodgate of just producing them for the sake of it so the real question is....what makes you think you need one? What are we trying to fix here?

I tired to get one from Vodafone and they wouldn't do one either. I was really interested in seeing the results especially after waiting 2 weeks for a reply and they told me they wont do it.

this was my experience with snap.

although the line test only showed all off about 30 mins of uptime, and very broken at that.

i personally wanted a copy for two reasons, firstly to be able to prove my argument to a chorus tech, as i was having ALOT of issues getting it across to them, that yes, there is an issue, and yes. their argument was completely wrong by their own standards.

secondly, was out of personal interest.

To get accurate result from a LQD you need to run the test for 24 hours, this puts load on the platform and wastes technical time that is much needed else ware like fixing other peoples problems.
I don't know of any ISP that would do when when a customer asks for one just to see the results.

It was designed as a troubleshooting tool, if abuse happens ISP's may lose the tool.
