Hi,
I am a very recent convert to Snap (from 7 years at xnet). Having mixed feeling on the transfer at the moment - first Fritz box sent had no wifi. They sent out a replacement, with good working wifi however, they forgot to set it up with all our voip phone details.

Is it possible for me to set it up myself? Does anyone have all the numbers/data I need to punch in on the telephony page of the fritz (aptly named) box?

I have logged a support email with snap but as yet (24 hours later) have not heard back from them apart from the automated reply.

The number is ported as it was working on the old box (which is now on a courier van) and our number shows up in my snap account page. I just need it setup in the fritz box.

Thanks

The username is your phone number.

The registrar is connect1.plus.snap.net.nz

The password, I have no idea, try your snap account password.

Tried that but still no joy - thanks anyway.

Think I need to see a screen shot for exact format etc or wait for snap to contact me.... how long do they normally take to respond to an email support ticket?

I have found Snap support to be awful when it comes to quick response, they always take a long time to respond.

This thread has screen shots of what it should look like http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=90&topicid=129608

The settings are all automatically provisioned by Snap and tied to your device.

Yes normally, but I have a replacement box here that came in without any data in the telephony page.

Not always, my device is not automatically provisioned.
It's weird how some are and some aren't.

Call their support line (from a cellphone if needed, it's still a free call) and get them to push the updated settings to your router. It should only take a matter of seconds for them to do this.

Yep all sorted - cell phone call to support and number(s) pushed through to the frtiz box, took about 2 min, so much for email support ticket system - still waiting to hear back from that.

thanks for everyones help.

If your device isn't provisioned it's because your serial number isn't linked to their TR-069 provisioning.
