so global mode seems to not be working for me, i get "this page has a redirect loop" when i try to load videos on netflix.
anyone else got the same problem?

Ha! wonder if they will start to regret inducing all that peak time international traffic!
(I could be wrong, but AFAIK it is not possible to cache netflix locally due to DRM)

The cache that Google chrome creates is of the DNS results not the actual movies them selves. Part of the "magic" of "Globalmode".
If you want to see what Chrome caches for DNS enter "chrome://net-internals/#dns" in the url bar
