2 Degrees charges $99 for 12GB of data at its cheapest rate (inside the 2 degree zone).  That's equal to 0.825c per MB with 1GB = 1,000MB.
They also charge either 50c per MB for casual data or 20c per MB in the 2 degrees zones, I'm not sure which, I do recall it being 20c/MB but I can't find the page anymore.

The ratio is 24:1 or 61:1.  That seems a tad exorbitant, I wonder what 2 degrees' explanation of why casual data is so expensive.

Thanks.

if they charged the same, or similar, for casual data, then nobody would ever buy the packs.

They are a business. A business is there too maximise shareholder gain. As this plan is the biggest in the market, and data overage makes lots of money, why on earth would they charge less?
