Hi everyone, I am posting this publicly because I desperately need urgent help. I hope this works. Right now I am writing this from my hospital bed in the Short Stay Ward in room 19. I have been sick for 12 days, on Monday I was taken on by the medical team at North Shore Hospital with unknown condition, I have had terrible migraine symptoms and awful fever and I am in a lot of pain and discomfort. (Let me just quickly say here don't panic I am being well looked after, but I won't be leaving hospital anytime soon)

The only comfort I have really is listening to music on my phone (streaming) and unsurprisingly I used nearly a Gigabyte of mobile data today alone. It costs 20 bucks for each extra gig. I can't afford it I am back at university doing a BSc (CompSci) and money is very tight, but I am in serious pain and i have photophobia so it is very hard to read or do anything else.

Please share this, I need help, if anyone works for 2degrees who can offer me a cheap bulk deal on prepay mobile data, for while I am in hospital, then please get in touch.

Before anyone says "why don't you get music from home etc" nobody in my family is tech savvy enough to do that, and I didn't know I was going to have to go to hospital and I am very ill so I couldn't plan ahead.

Again, don't worry about me I am in good hands here at hospital but I have this problem and normally I wouldn't ask for help but, like, I am in hospital and crowd sourcing a solution seems intelligent to the mind of someone in a feverish hospital bed at 10.30pm

Hope someone can help. Seriously don't worry about my condition I just need to be able to listen to music because it really helps relax my poor burning head.

If you are in North Shore hospital you can buy A zone data pack of 12GB of Data for $99.00 which you have 6 months to use. You can purchase by texting "buy Zone 12GB" to 233.

Hope this is of help to you and you get well soon

Hi for your kind thoughts Scheduler. Unfortunately that would last me 12 days Max and is much too expensuve, and considering they have a promo on at the moment where after you buy an extra gig of data your next one only costs 5 dollars I feel quite certain someone at 2degrees with a little authority can sort something special out for me.

Just had another night of no sleep! Yay for me!

I could drop some "DVD's" to you?

Very kind suggestion... Some snags tho:
Since tech tends to go... "missing"... in hospitals so I left laptop and iPad at home.

Safer just to stick with my Nexus 4 and music I think. Very kind of you to offer, thanks Tim

Can I suggest that you splash out and buy yourself Spotify premium, and dowload the songs you like listening as offline, that way you wont be streaming them repeatedly.  You can do this for up to 999 songs from memory.
