I'm in a fibre only subdivision.
Originally we could only use world exchange as a provider, then Snap offered a service. Is Orcon offering a service or do they have any plans to be able to in the near future?

You'd have to tell us where you are to find that out. Best way is to just stick your address in the address checker on Orcon's site. Like you would any other ISP.

Most original BoF areas have supported any ISP offering UFB that has a UFB handover in the area since late last year.

To get an answer you're really going to need to contact Orcon and ask, as without knowing your address it's not possible for anybody to answer your question.

If it's in Kaiapoi isn't the issue that since UFB in Canterbury is being handled by UFF - so few ISPs would build handovers to what is only a few subdivisions down there?

Isn't Christchurch/Canterbury Enable territory? Chorus UFB is still present down there as well though.

Yes Christchurch is Enable, but I think Chorus are doing all greenfield developments. I've tried a Sovereign Palms address on the Chorus UFB map and it comes up as UFB available: http://www.chorus.co.nz/maps so you should have quite a lot of choice regarding which ISP you go with, but as mentioned previously just ring the ISP you want to go with and ask.
