i have an older samsung galaxy  S plus 9001 and it worked ok on vodafone.

with the 2degrees though it can take up to ten seconds to actually connect a call..when i dial a number it just stalls and does nothing..............then finally i get the ringing tone after some time. this happens even with full reception.

also if i drive out of Tauranga to say whakatane or Auckland/Hamilton my data drops and i have to go to settings and search network opertors to get my data working again...

any reason why the poor performance etc???

If you leave the operator choice on automatic you shouldn't have the data drop issues. I assume you updated the APN settings already?

Ok. You need to go back to operator selection and choose automatic after choosing an operator manually, maybe you left it on a manual choice?

These settings should be set as default but double check your settings making sure -

1. 'Network operator' is on Auto connect 'GSM/WCDMA' or 'LTE/WCDMA/GSM' for 4G capable devices.
2. 'Network Selection' is on 'Automatic' so you will connect to our roaming network where we do not have our own towers.
To connect to data make sure -
3. 'Data roaming' is turned on (you won't pay any extra for this, all our casual rated data, Pay Monthly plans data, Prepay Combo and NZ Data packs is national data, only our Mobile Broadband packs will not work if you are on our roaming network).
4. APN is set to 'Internet'.

If you're still having issues please try your SIM in another phone (if possible) and pm us with details on where it's happening exactly with your number, alternative contact number and what's showing on your phone when it's happening.

Thanks
^POB
