Hi All,

I have Snap ADSL here at home.

I use office 365 for my personal email and I also use office 365 for my work email.

I have noticed in the past few weeks that I am not getting new emails while I am at home on the wifi on my portable devices i.e. phone and iPad.

I have no issues with my laptops and desktop. ( Windows 7 pro, windows 10, Mavericks and Yosemite )

To resolve this on my iPad I changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and magically works.

I have changed the modem and that made no difference ( had a Netgear and replaced it with my old Netgear )

I put Snaps DNS into the router and that made no difference.

I also put google DNS into the router and that made no difference.

Initally I thought my profiles were corrupt so I deleted them and could not recreate them until I put in Googles DNS directly into the device.

Interestingly it is only my mobile HTC W7.8 and iPad 4 IOS 7.x that are having this issue. All other wired and wireless devices are fine.

I have not tried a different brand modem.

Anyone have similar issues or any bright ideas?

John

Do you have autodiscovery enabled on the DNS, or are you entering a server name when configuring them?

I use m.outlook.com as my server in all my mobile devices for my O365 accounts.

Auto discovery is enabled in DNS.
The system has worked for a few years probably 3, we were one of the first with BPOS with no issues, just happened recently.

If when I create a new profile and it asks me I use outlook.office365.com

The phone and ipad are not making it that far when I set them up, they work fine on 3G just not my wireless at home.

The laptops however are fine at home on the wifi.

I installed a new Wireless access point and that has made no difference.

I will put in an older cisco modem to see if that helps tonight.

Regards
John
