Searching Google for "Account: 02-0290-0395011-000" brings up Orcon's website. Is this account # different from the one you currently pay into?

Its genuine, the copy I have doesnt have any strange character insertions so I suspect its just something strange when it has changed to plain text somewhere along the line.

The details are new but they may well have updated within the banks payee systems for you if that is how you loaded the details for Orcon originally in you banking, but that sounds like a useful feature of your internet banking rather than anything our end.

Having the details ready and listed in the banks online banking payee setup should give you confidence not concern hopefully.

New owners, change of bank to theirs, nothing more driving it.

That's just quoted-printable encoding. You will likely see the same if you look at the message source.

Maybe, I just didn't notice any "obvious ballsups in the typing" in the version I received....
