Hi I know there was an issue with 2 degrees network not receiving texts from Vodafone mobiles in Ireland. Experienced this a few years ago when I changed over. Caused me to switch back to previous network. Does anyone know if this is still a problem, considering switching to this network but may reconsider if this hasn't been resolved.
Regs: I think my parents were saying they received messagesOK from O2, but the person in Ireland wasn't receiving replies... unsure about voda
If there was going to be a problem, it would be a 2degrees subscriber with a ported number being able to send to Vodafone Ireland, but not receive. There have been many changes over the last 6 and a bit years including an additional international hub partner (and both hubs having access to NZ MNP) so it might well be OK now. I have not personally heard one way or the other lately, though.
