How long is the Gigatown town winner offer available - it is a nice saving over the regular price.
As per my other threads/posts in this forum, I have a lot of work ahead of me to convince "the olds" that Fibre is good

Pretty sure it is 3 years.

Another thing to consider is the government only offered 3 years of free installs for those Chorus area houses with long access to the road. Runs out in 2015 from memory. I hope they extend this because my install date is June 2016 ATM.

When will speeds like 1000/500 and unlimited pricing of $99 be offered for regions like Hamilton, Auckland etc?

Do whatever you want to do man.

When there's a ridiculous marketing campaign surrounding it.

In all seriousness, Waikato can already do gigabit speeds but at $20-30 more wholesale price than chorus, and a slower 20 megabit upload (at least atm).

Never.

Chorus haven't set their wholesale price for Gigabit yet but it's safe to say $99 pricing won't be possible

3 years for that offer, sounds promising.
Gives me enough time to convince "the olds" that fibre is not the devil (or move out and find my own place)

Hi all

The wholesale pricing from Chorus for Gigatown is the same as the entry level 30/10 service. Only time will tell where the pricing will land for a national Gig service.

The discounted Dunedin service is only available for a period of 3 years - but at the current rate of change who knows where things will be by then!

Cheers
Ralph
