As the title suggest I have moved from Spark on a (what I'm guessing is a) galaxy S4 with spark software? (says spark when turning on).
Is there anything I will need to change to optimize the phone?
I also note that in certain areas of my house I lose signal (if I have it set to strictly 2degrees) and if I have it set to automatic it goes to roaming, is this how its meant to work?

Sorry if these are obvious questions but I've never actually changed providers on a phone without getting a  new phone.

Configure your phone to allow roaming, as when you lose 2Degrees coverage you can roam on to the Vodafone network at no charge.

As for anything else - your phone might lag in updates, as Spark will be the provider for those rather than 2Degrees, but otherwise as far as I'm aware it should all just work.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

Welcome to 2degrees MrJonathan!

As ToeJam says keep Data Roaming on if you want to connect to data outside our canopy as you'll be using our roaming network where we don't have our own towers. If you have the Carryover Combo you'll have NZ Data that you can use on and off canopy.

Also check -

Network search on 'Auto connect' (LTE/WCDMA/GSM)
Mobile Data is on.
APN set to 'Internet'.
Network Selection is on Automatic and not set (locked) to 2degrees so you can switch to and from ours and our roaming network.

If you have any issues pm us your number, location and any other specific details.

Cheers
^POB
