Hi all, I'm trying to setup a VPN server at home so when I'm travelling I can connect back home.

I have got a Synology NAS with built-in VPN module, and I can connect to it successfully with my iOS devices.

However, once I'm on my mobile connection (to simulate being overseas etc) I can no longer connect to it.

Things I have tried so far...

Port forward 500, 1701, 4500 TCP/UDP/TCP+UDP in Virtual Servers

Toggling IPSec under ALG

all combination of above..

I have no firewall settings (just want to get it working first before I start tying it down). I have disabled all firewall on my Synology NAS as well.

I'm trying to use http://www.canyouseeme.org/ however no matter what I try port 500/1701/4500 never appears to be visible from that site at least.

Any ideas? I can ping my external IP with my 3G/4G connection as well.

I don't know what made it work, but it's working now.
Current configuration is IPSec under ALG is unticked. Ports 500/1701/4500 points at VPN server on UDP only
Under WAN Service, IPv6 is disabled. Maybe reconnecting WAN was the magical refresh it required.

All is up and running now!
