Ports go up to 65535, a 16 bit integer. hamish225 geekcred decremented ;)

I see no reason port forwarding above 50K should be any different than below 50K. What router? What service? What are you trying to achieve?

I see no reason port forwarding above 50K should be any different than below 50K. What router? What service? What are you trying to achieve?

This is nothing to do with router type.

As MyRepublic use CG-NAT rather than allocating a public IP you can't configure port forwards in your own router. I'm presuming the OP is referring to some form on online service they offer allowing something to be configured.
