Even on the gamer plan which meant to be optimized for low pings, mine has more than doubled since I was on Vodafone. I was using the Vodafone supplied modem then, now I am using the supposedly far superior MR Asus modem. I paid for a static IP address. I am running speed tests hard wired to a range of servers on speedtest.net. The only server that has a ping closest but still higher than what Vodafone has is the official MR server here http://speedtest.myrepublic.co.nz/ I called MR support who did not know anything and said they will get back to me, that was 2 weeks ago. I must admit, there support has not been the best so far, sure they answer the phone quick, but have yet to get anybody with much knowledge.

What sort of pings were you getting with Vodafone versus now with MyRepublic (you said double but obviously 1ms->3ms is not so relevant but 100ms->200ms matters). Also do you have latency comparisons for something other then speedtest servers, as well the ping to a speedtest server isn't all that relevant in my opinion and I believe the gamer plan is supposed to have better latency routing for game servers mainly rather then speedtest.

Were the speedtests with Vodafone to a non-vodafone server and then mirrored to the results with MyRepublic (as Vodafone to Vodafone server latency result versus MyRepublic to MyRepublic server latency result could be unfair depending on where you are located as the physical difference could result in the latency difference).

Personally I think it's pretty unlikely that there is a major difference in latency where it matters and you should look for some examples (game servers, etc.) of high latency and add them here. Are you getting noticeable lag in games which you didn't previously have or are you only working on the speedtest server results?

PS: I find Asus modems way nicer then the standard fibre Vodafone modem.
