Hey guys, just wanted some help regard our flat dilemma with getting fibre installed
So my mates and I have moved into a a new flat in Dunedin which has fibre available (Great!), we've made a request with Orcon to hook us up on the 5th (today).
So the chorus technician came along and said that they couldn't get the fibre installed because the pole directly outside of our flat had a 'red flag' saying basically do not climb , as it looks a little bit fragile.
So the fibre line is apparently on the opposite pole of our house, so that fibre line needs to connect to our pole and then into our flat, but yeah theyre not allowed to perform work on that pole due to the red flag. The technician was very nice and honest with us saying that they'll request for the pole to get 'replaced' but realistically who knows when it will happen as there are power lines on it as well.
We're really keen on getting fibre and we've been orcon customers since forever, anyone have any ideas on how we can approach this issue?
