My Galaxy S3 was getting so slow I finally decided to flash the ROM with Cyanogenmod. Have been very happy until I opened the snapper app and found that snapper no longer works!!!

I have seen a couple old threads here saying that it didn't work, but wondering if anyone has come up with any workaround recently??? Or any other ROM that works well with it?

It may help if you clarify "no longer works"

Do any of the functions of the app work:

* Does it give you a balance?
* Can you top up a card?

I've been running CM11 on my Nexus 4 with the Snapper App downloaded from the Play Store for over a year, and those two functions I've mentioned work fine. As I don't have a 2Degrees SIM, I've never checked or used the payment facility.

The SnapperMobile app works in two ways...

1. reading an external physical snapper card, this uses standard Android NFC apis. If this doesn't work then the cynanogen mod build is at fault.

2. reading the Snapper application on a Touch2Pay SIM, this requires a component called "SIMAlliance OpenMobile API" which is included in the 2degrees builds of Android for Touch2Pay devices.

To my knowledge, cyanogenmod does not including the SIMAlliance OpenMobile API, they are more interested in HCE.

Thanks, yes, by "not working" I meant not able to read my 2-degrees SIM (which my Telecom branded S3 was able to do).

A real shame, I like cyanomod. But this could be the impetus I need to get a new phone.
