I changed to Slingshot from Ihug 3 or 4 days ago. The reason for this was the ability to buy data blocks so that I wouldnt get knocked down to dialup speed - this happened a lot on Ihug (I torrent).

anyhoo first day on Slingshot I thought it seemed a little slugish so I performed a speedtest - in three tests I hit 1m once!

Now to be fair I do live a wee ways from my exchange but with Ihug I was getting 2.5-3m connection. So what changed? As far as I know the only thing to change was my login which means I started using slingshots bandwitdh.

Slingshot gave me a "welcome aboard" call on Sunday and pretty much just ho hummed when I told them I wasnt happy.

So I have signed up for Telstra 10m lightspeed as I have the cable already, its free install and no contract + I can get rid of my landline which means no more markrting calls at tea time!

Lets hope this new connection lives up to the hype - New Zealands fastest broadband!

I like the Data Blocks but hate how they expire.
So you where with Slingshot 3 weeks?
