I have wasted the better part of my afternoon trying to get 2degrees to set up automatic payment with my credit card.

Apparently they are ok with charging the norwegian credit card when I do the payments manually through their system, but are unable/unwilling to set up automatic payments.

Which is strange, because I had a norwegian card set up for automatic payments until recently, when - unfortunately for me, my norwegian bank changed from Visa to MasterCard. And now I am stuck with no way of setting up automatic payments with my norwegian card.

So I guess this will be the end of the road for me using 2degrees. Nobody have been able to explain to me why they can take a regular charge but not an automatic charge, and why it was working ok before with the old norwegian Visa card and won't work now with the MasterCard.

Can I be that user and ask why you don't get a NZ Credit (Debit) Card?

My mobile is paid for by the company I work for, which is a norwegian company. I could pay it and then be refunded, but it creates a lot of extra husle all around.

Interesting thing is that 2degrees have been taking payment (both manual and automatic) with a norwegian creditcard for a good while now. And a lot of other services (all around the world) are paid for by the same creditcard.

Seems like a pretty random rule to only allow for New Zealand creditcards for automatic payments, if you ask me.

Two words: money laundering.

Using international credit cards for automatic payments can be used in that matter, or to avoid tax.
